• Taking the sample – the person taking the sample must ensure they have clean hands and follow the instructions exactly. This prevents the sample from becoming contaminated and allows us to isolate your DNA without any risk of other elements being present. The sample must be sealed in the correct envelope and returned to the clinic – we may request that your medical professional posts it back to us.

• Waiting for the results – paternity tests don’t take long to complete so you should have the results within five working days (from when the sample(s) reach our lab). We will use your chosen preferred method of contact to let you know what the results are and we pride ourselves on our sympathetic and considerate approach. You might want to have someone else with you when you receive the results.
