"Just a quick note to say sorry for the extra hassle we have caused and thank you so much for getting the results to us. I know we maybe jumped the gun with our expected timescales but this was simply based on the first test you did for me which was so speedy. Pleas pass on my thanks to your whole team for the great level of service we have received and the prompt email replies and the helpful calls we have had.

I would happily recommend your service to anyone I ever hear of that needs a DNA test doing."

Court Approved Siblingship Test

Court Approved Siblingship Test

Price: £399.00

Applicants Tested: Two people, alleged brother or sister

Turnaround: 5 working days (from receipt of the mouth swabs by our laboratory)

An applicant seeking to prove a relationship for legal purposes will often be required by the court to provide a DNA profile confirming the relationship. The DNA sampling process is conducted by a medically qualified professional and the DNA test results should be admissible in a UK court of law. This DNA test determines the statistical probability of whether siblings (brothers and sisters) share the same two parents or not. The relationship between alleged siblings (full or half) can be established with 15% exclusion and 90% inclusion conclusivity.

When the issue of siblingship is in question, the recommended method to determine whether individuals are true biological siblings is to test their parents. In situations where the alleged parents are unavailable for testing, a siblingship DNA test can be performed to analyse the relationship of biological siblings. Including one common parent greatly increases the accuracy of this type of DNA analysis and is recommended if at all possible. Please contact us for more information.

Court Approved Aunt, Uncle or Grandparent Test

Court Approved Aunt, Uncle or Grandparent Test

Price: £399.00

Applicants Tested: Child and alleged grandparent/aunt/uncle

Turnaround: 5 working days (from receipt of the mouth swabs by our laboratory)

This test can be used to assess genes from the paternal side of the family, even when DNA from the alleged father is unavailable, by establishing a link between the DNA of a child and the DNA of an alleged grandparent, aunt or uncle. It is important to note that grandparents, aunts and uncles will have only one quarter of their genes in common with a child, whereas parents and children have half their genes in common. Because of this two-fold dilution of genes, the test cannot achieve as accurate results as a parent-child test. Nonetheless, it will provide a numerical probability for the alleged familial relationship.

An applicant seeking to prove a relationship for legal purposes will often be required by the court to provide a DNA profile confirming the relationship. The DNA sampling process is conducted by a medically qualified professional and the DNA test results should be admissible in a UK court of law.
